As is vividly shown in the picture，that is my first experience of washing plates which happened in my childhood.
That day was Thanks Giving Day. In an attempt to send a gift to my mother, I offered to wash plates so as to reduce her burden. It was hard to wash them. I poured the detergent into the sink and then opened the tap. The pleasant smell flew in the air. I picked up a plate with the other hand holding a brush. It was so slippery that it took great pains to wash it.
Finally, I made it. I also saw the pleased smile on her face. I thought it was the best present that she had ever received. Not only did I show my love and respect but also warmed my mother’s heart.

When I was a little boy, I always thought my parents were too busy. They were always occupied working and doing housework.
One day, I made up my mind to help them. After dinner, I offered to wash dishes without hesitation. I was so determined that they couldn’t prevent me from doing it. I took a chair and stood on it. I put all the dishes into the sink, and added the detergent and water into it. Soon I found it more difficult than I had thought. The water was out of control and the kitchen became dirty. I saw my parents standing besides me without any attempt to stop me.
Fortunately, I finished washing and carefully cleaned the kitchen. As a result, they praised me. From the experience, I learn that parents really devote themselves to the family and I am obliged to try my best to help them, no matter how tough it will be.
